Good lunch food, Rev James Ale, reasonable price and good service, beer garden very pleasant in the sunshine.

A decent village pub, obviously benefitting from the nearby tourism trade from Tenby and Lydstep's caravan sites, but it's neither too touristy nor too 'local'. It's directly opposite the 'Palace' which despite being called a palace is actually an old stone shed of some mild historical significance that is worth a quick look if you're into that kind of thing.

The food menu is heavily fish-based and the pub is famed for its steaks, so there are plenty of fish and steak options to choose from, though some of the usual pub meals you'd expect are missing. We found the food was OK, if I had to criticise it I'd say it was a tiny bit dry and a little overpriced but not too bad.

Very friendly service, with no problems. If you're driving round this corner of Wales then you could do far worse than stopping here for lunch.

If you're thinking of stopping by in the mid-afternoon, it might be worth phoning ahead to check if it's open, because the opening times seem to vary and sometimes it closes between lunch and the evening.

Consistently good food over an 8 year holiday period bit more pricy than you average pub but worth it. Gets busy so book !

Went in July, good food at good prices only complaint was the day we were there the restaurant part was full so we ate in the bar. It was a windy day and when another diner shut the entrance door because of a draught, the staff opened it again claiming it was the only method of ventilation. Surely that can be rectified so customers dont enjoy breezes inside as well.
